Case Description
1996 neck cancer - radiation at Shanns UF. 10 yrs later all but buttom 5 bottom front teeth have crowns due post impact of lymph node removal (no saliva) - bottom front teeth quoted at over $18,000 due to major detoriation - Nova SouthEastern Miami residence program states crown build up and then crown overlays. Teeth are all dentin - no enamel at this point and VERY painful I have NO insurance and have no income. Starting part time job after relocating here to Jax from Miami - no insurance for 3 months.
HELP - Shanns Jax requires $150 for initial visit - where can I get FREE assistance or major reduction in services?
Any feedback or direction for free clinics or dentist in the Jacksonville FL open to reviewing my situation is greately appreciated. I would be willing to send pictures of my teeth if needed and my records from Shanns Dental and Oncology Dept.
*** I have the molds already created for my teeth and the temporary teeth (but this was over 1 yr ago and my teeth and detoriated drastically since then.
Sincerely, Kelly Cuva Jacksonville Fl email: Kcuva@yahoo.com

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.
